Re: wollemi survival in a cold European winter
by Ken Bourne
I put my Wollemi into the ground in 2008,(Powys UK) It survived the first winter very well although that winter was mild, this winter has been very severe going down to minus 12C. The plant now looks very bedraggled and brown(March 4th) but the growing tip seems ok and some of the wax protection has cracked off. When I planted it I took some cuttings from the bottom branches but they didn't survive, has anyone and ideas about propagation by cuttings?
