I have registered at Blogware.com but it seems impossible to get away from my profile page and get anywhere else like your site. I am just asked to register again and again. I would particularly like to visit your blog as I am the proud owner of a Wollemi pine in a pot.

Hi John. I am slightly confused by your comment as you have posted a blog which suggests that you have now visited the site. To be able to post comments you need to 'log in' to the site now that you have registered. This can be done by putting the user name and password that you chose when you registered into the log in box on the left of the page. To post a comment under any of the headings just click on the blue underlined 'comments' under any of the headings. I hope this helps.

Yes I was a bit confused myself, probably because my computer misbehaves a lot. I filled in the comments form and then found difficulty in logging back in again. However I have the thing taped now. My tree seems to have gone dormant now, and I plan to plant it out in May of next year in a sheltered position - a walled garden - I think that it will be very happy there as one of its nearest neighbours is a large Eucalyptus. I will send a photo of the planting next year. For the moment it will have to live in a greenhouse as the winter temperature here gets down to -12F. The outside position I have chosen is in E. Lothian where the winter temperature rarely gets below -5F. as it is very near the sea. The Eucalyptus must have been planted in 1955 as it is now almost 30ft. high, with many lateral branches. A very good specimen for Scotland!

My 2-3 year old tree, purchased in June 2006, has now adjusted
to our strange Irish climate and seems happy. Trees in Sth. Ireland
generally, are known to grow several times faster then in the UK, due in part
to the mild Gulf Stream weather. I'm hoping that my Wollemi will adopt
to this native pattern and be exploding out of its pot next year! It has a curious
method of growth - alternating between apical and lateral extension.
Has anybody else noticed this tendancy?to
