Wollemia nobilis planted on 25.05.06. During 2006 it grew 38 cm and reached a height of 103 cm. It continued to thrive in 2007 putting on an additional 36 cm and now has reached 139 cm.Last year I covered it up for the winter, but have not done so this winter. We have had a number of frosty days and night frost down to -4 C, but apart from a few brown tips it looks amazingly resilient. Last year I could not resist it when the Wollemia went on sale locally at Seiont Nurseries in North Wales. I bought another one, so now there is a cluster of three Wollemi's in my arboretum and all of them are doing well. So far no sign of cones on the oldest specimen, but it is early days.
