I thought it was nice to plant Auracaria angustifolia (in the foreground) with Wollemia. Looking at the leaves it is not surprising that botanists have decided that Wollemia is related to the Auracariaceae. After all they are all trees from the ancient supercontinent of Gondwana.
In future I will plant some more Araucaria species to accompany the Wollemias.
On the left in the picture is the Wollemia that arrived in September. It is 55 cm tall. I decided to plant it out, but I will give it some good winter protection.
Fortunately winters in the northern part of Gwynedd between the sea (which is 2,5 km away) and the Snowdonia mountains are fairly mild.
